Body issue

I have a really good friend who has a problem I wish I have. No matter what she does, no matter what she eats, she never gains weight! I think she even tried the best weight gain supplements and she did gain a little bit, but not enough to give her the "curves" she's wishing for.
She's stick thin for as long as I can remember. Even after two kids. Very lucky, indeed!! I tell her all the time she looks alright. And that she's beautiful the way she is. But like many of us, she is looking for something that she doesn't have.

gifts

I happened to glance at Alexis' Christmas wish list and I saw an assortment of goodies she wants for Christmas. She wishes for mostly Harry Potter stuff, and they shouldn't be hard to get. She's a big Harry Potter fan and she's influencing her little brother with it. Pretty soon, he'll start reading the HP series just like her big sister did. She even dressed up as one of Hogwart's students for halloween. Hubs and I will probably end up giving her a bunch little of HP stuff. That'll make her happy.

She'll also probably get a new laptop with document management software. She does a lot of school work and it should help her. shhhh. She's not supposed to know yet. I hope she's not reading my blog. tee hee.

Ugg

It's getting colder, sign that old man winter is just around the corner. Steve and I went for a jog this morning and I didn't even break a sweat because of the cold damp air. And guess what time it is.....It's time to clean my closet again, out with the summer clothes, in with the winter wardrobe. I want to go shopping for more winter stuff though, as my old ones are a little out dated. I also want to purchase my very first ugg boots. I know, I know. It probably won't look good on me, but I've always wanted to get one.

PC woes

Argh! My computer is acting stupid again! It's very slow and it's really frustrating because I'm trying to watch a Filipino movie online and the movie keeps on getting disconnected. No, it's not my internet connection. We have a pretty good internet connection from our service provider. My computer is old and sluggish. I wish I could upgrade right now, but money for upgrade is not there yet. Oh, just a thought, wouldn't it be nice to upgrade to an Industrial pc? I bet it's super fast, and I won't be having this issue anymore. Yeah, right.

Zits

I've read books and watched TV infomercials on how to prevent pimples but it still didn't help. I'm 30+ years old for God's sake and I'm still getting acne breakouts at the most unexpected places. I almost dressed up as Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer for Halloween because I had this big red zit at the tip of my nose. Talk about embarrassing. I tried applying toothpaste on it because I heard it works, but it only made the spot redder. It is frustrating! I'd take zits on my butt anytime, just not on my nose please! LOL.

weight loss- NOT

I've been doing zumba for about 6 weeks now and I haven't lost weight. Granted, I do it only twice a week, an hour each time, but I think I should still lose a little bit weight. I've been losing inches though, which is good. Pretty soon, I hope to be back to my "fighting" form. I've gained 20 lbs since we moved here and it's just so hard to lose them now that I am also older. A friend recommended using a fat burner called Lipofuze, which I will be checking out soon. If I sound desperate, well, I am. The holidays are fast approaching!

Medical History

One of the things my doctor and I talked about in my previous visit was my family's medical history. I was a little worried about a couple diseases that could be hereditary, like breast cancer for example. She said that I'm at low risk because although my grandma and aunt (on my mother side) were both diagnosed with it, they shouldn't directly affect me. She found out my grandfather passed away from colon cancer at age 70+, so she recommended getting a colonoscopy when I reach 50. I shiver at the thought of getting that procedure done but if it's necessary, I guess I'll have to deal with it when the time comes. I've read about colon cleansing pill and wonder if they can help prevent colon cancer?

Time management

I can't believe October is over. It was a very busy month. Work and home life dominated my schedule. There wasn't enough time to do what I needed to do. I skipped my doctor's visit for the month of October. I didn't get my B12 shot, which helps me with my anemia. Arrghhh! I am supposed to be taking multivitamins but I forget all the time. Is it old age? Or is it simply absent mindedness? Whatever it is, I need to get better with time management. I need to stop wasting my time with stupid stuff and focus on what matters most, health.

Fountain of Youth

I am in my 30's and I've begun paying more attention to my skin. I don't want to be 40 and very wrinkly. That's why I moisturize everyday. Not only does it make my skin soft and supple, it also helps make it looking young and fresh. I'm proud to say I don't have many fine lines like other women my age do. I eat well, sleep well, and exercise. I am up to date with wrinkle cream reviews. No, I'm not trying to stop time. But I'm not trying to let go either.

weight loss- NOT

I'm determined to lose weight. I watch what I eat and I do Zumba twice a week. I also started dancing at home for 30 minutes everyday. I'm always looking for fast weight loss tips and I follow it to a T.
But I'm not getting the result I wanted. I haven't lost a pound. It's frustrating, but I'm patient. I feel I have more energy since I started exercising. And I sleep better at night. I am more jolly as well. Maybe it's working after all.

TV

Hubs and I agreed we're not going to give each other Christmas presents this year. Instead, we are going to buy a big screen TV for our basement. We currently have a 51" down there but he wants to replace it with an LED TV. He said watching Sports will be so much better with a new TV. He also promises to spend more time in the his man-cave, the basement once we replace the TV. So as you can tell, anything abt electronics coupons catches my eyes. I'm a smart shopper and I always look for the best deals.

recession

Times are tough. They say it could take years before the economy gets better. The housing market is not good at all. Unemployment is at it's all time high. I have never heard the word "laid-off" so many times until we moved here. Families are losing everything. Jobs, Cars, insurance, home, hope. People do what they can to survive. Most rely on payday advance to make ends meet. How long is this situation going to last? I wonder everyday.
